About Us

Aero is bringing AeroBarrier to NZ and Australia. Extensive investment in the technology and years of practical installation experience has taken place in North America and Europe. We are proud to be able to bring the benefit of that investment and experience to New Zealand and Australia

Aeroseal LLC and AeroBarrier

AeroBarrier is a patented system owned by Aeroseal LLC  — an established American company specialising in innovative air sealing solutions. AeroBarrier is designed to improve the airtightness and moisture management of the overall building envelope.

Airtightness is one of the core requirements for building performance as it determines the energy efficiency and internal moisture management of the building – just like weathertightness manages external water damage risks.

AeroBarrier is well established throughout North America and several European countries. It is a proven system that makes a considerable contribution in the fight against climate change and reducing carbon emissions from wasted energy in buildings.

Leaders in sustainability

Greenguard Gold Certified

The AeroBarrier formula is a water-soluble organic compound and is proven safe. The sealant is ultra-low VOC and because it is inert there is no chemical reaction needed to form a seal meaning there is no off-gassing. With more than 150,000 projects sealed to date, AeroBarrier has helped hospitals, surgery centres, schools, and public buildings make sure their air is clean, healthy and comfortable – and saved them energy and money in the process. In fact, our sealant is GreenGuard Gold Certified, meeting the stricter certification requirements used in schools and healthcare facilities.

COP 28

Bill Gates profiled AeroBarrier at COP 28 and said:

“AeroBarrier is one of the most significant new developments in the building industry in combating our collective battle against climate change.”

Cleantech company of the year

Cleantech Group has named Aeroseal as its “Company of the Year” for North America. There were 25,435 nominations originating from over 65 countries. Not only did Aeroseal make the 2024 Global Cleantech 100, an annual list of the top companies offering innovations to fight climate change, but it had the highest score in North America.

INC 5000 – 2023

Aeroseal is an established technology in the US construction sector and is growing fast. In 2023, it ranked among America’s fastest-growing private Companies on the INC 5000 list. Facebook, Chobani, Under Armor, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other household names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000 list.
