Building Airtight

AeroBarrier in action at Pragma Homes development

Great to host Matthew Cutler-Welsh from the New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC) and Sam Dallimore from The Building Excellence Group (BXG)!

Our Aero New Zealand team – Jim, Scott, and Gabe – showcased AeroBarrier in action, sealing two homes as part of the 45-home Pragma Homes development in Hamilton. The project is targeting Homestar ratings, and airtightness is a critical part of achieving healthier, more energy-efficient homes.

With AeroBarrier, builders can measure and improve the airtightness of their homes during construction. This not only helps to meet Homestar requirements but also ensures homeowners enjoy a warmer, drier, and more comfortable living environment.

Airtightness is fast becoming essential for building better-performing homes. Developments like this show how practical solutions can make a real difference in energy use, comfort, and long-term durability.
